When I had my Pic-line still, my dad took me on a trip to Washington. It was really fun. We saw a movie, we went to museums, and the really cool part was that we did it all on bikes. We went to this one museum that was at the Smithsonian and it was the gems and minerals part. It was incredible! I mean there were diamond necklaces that looked like it weighed a ton. Do you see that purple thing on my arm? That was the wrap on my pic-line. Anyway, we went to the Washington Monument, the Lincon Memorial, and the White house. When it got dark, we went to the bookstore. I saw some scary books that looked really interesting, but dad said that there was no way to carry it, especially in the dark. When we got back outside and we were getting our bikes, we saw a homeless family that had laid out a thin blanket under a bench. They had a little box that was labled: 'BELONGINGS'. When we got back in the car, I think I might of fallen asleep, I can't remember.

Hi Kaitlynn!
Welcome to the world of blogging!
I'm so impressed you're only 9 and doing this already.. wow.

I went to D.C. myself, about 8 years ago, and also went to the Smithsonian. There was a wonderful exhibit of beautiful paintings then... saw a whole series by Lord Fredric Leighton. "Flaming June" is my favorite.

Sorry to hear about your mishap that landed you in the hospital this summer. Hope you're all better now.
